Website www.donationsdigital.com announces its first “Million Peaces” contest starting January 21, 2013 where all are invited to submit their own depictions of the peace symbol for a chance to win a share of up to $100,000.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 21, 2013 - New philanthropic content site, www.donationsdigital.com, has announced the commencement of its first ever “Million Peaces Contest”. The contest begins on January 21st, 2013 and if 1,000,000 entries are received before World Peace Day, September 21st, 2013, the total prize purse balloons up to $100,000. The contest, which is open to almost anyone, anywhere of any age, requires entrants to create unique, interesting depictions of the internationally recognized peace symbol utilizing anything in their environments. Voting will be done by members of the site along with a judge’s panel to ensure fariness and break ties. Top prizes will be given to the 10 most popular depictions.
“$100 starts off the prize pot” explains site founder and contest chairman Christophe Roberts, “then for every 500 entries after the first 1000 are received $50 gets added to it between us and sponsors. So at 1,000,000 entries our total prize purse would be $100,000”.
Founder Christophe Roberts was inspired to set up the Donationsdigital.com website after a fire devastated his family home of 33-plus years in Nassau, Bahamas, mid-November 2012 and rendered it totally unlivable. Since then he has used his resources to create the website to not only offer support for his own parents but for others in need of aid - hopefully for many years to come.
“The fire has been a real eye opener for me. Sometimes people really have nowhere to turn to for help. I really want to create a financially successful entity that is willing to continually listen to the cries of the afflicted and does the absolute best to offer substantial, monetary assistance!” stated Mr. Roberts.
The unique aspect of the website is that it is setup to generate money not from soliciting donations but by asking visitors to complete marketing tasks and offers that companies are willing to pay to have completed. In exchange for completing these tasks, web surfers are offered premium content such as videos from musicians, magicians and other professional talent as well as digital downloads like eBooks and even access to contest entry forms.
“… There is a brief dialog [box] before the ‘Million Peaces’ entry form. This is our automated way of getting the info and responses the sponsors are looking for from the public. It’s how we generate cash flow for the contest prizes and to help those in need. It’s just a necessary step” divulged Mr. Roberts.
